God loves you – let me show you His plan
It is a stone-cold fact, as my friend Eric often says! God loves you. The Bible is full of God’s love for mankind and in this post, I’m going to reveal part of His plan for you.
God wants you to prosper. “I take pleasure in the prosperity of my servant,” God said in Psalm 35, verse 27. God gets no glory in seeing mankind poor, living in squalor and wearing rags and drinking polluted water.
“Save now, I beseech thee, O Lord: O Lord, I beseech thee, send now prosperity. “(Psalm 118:25)
When God spoke to Abraham in the first book of Moses, he told him to look north, south, east and west and wherever you step will the Lord give it to you and to your descendants forever. Abraham was made a very wealthy man because he believed God.
“..keep the door open to His blessing overtaking every area of our
life. Some blessings from God are as obvious as a birthday present on your lap. But many of them are more clearly seen in hindsight! So trust God and don’t doubt yourself as you strive to follow His will. He has a joyful and rich destiny for you! Be blessed walking out the right choices that feel so good after you make them!” Pastor Tim Burt – (Source)
One of his grandsons, Joseph the son of Jacob, was eventually promoted to become the Prime Minister of Egypt and all that country and neighboring countries were prospered because of Joseph.
There are so many validating scriptures in God’s Word, the Bible that contains the Law, the prophets and the writings of the followers of Jesus that promote God’s desire for man to prosper.
In the Gospel of John, Jesus said that the “thief [Satan] comes to steal, kill and destroy, but I came that you might have life and that more abundantly.” (John 10:10) Later, when the disciples were fishing all night and caught nothing, Jesus tells them to cast the net into the sea; which when they did, they caught so much fish their boats began to sink.
Jesus taught that if we sow the seed into good ground it will produce a harvest “thirty, sixty and a hundred fold.” The principle of sowing and reaping is illustrated throughout the Scriptures to show that God richly blesses the seed sown into the ground.
Your responsibility, and mine, is to sow the seed and water it daily and God will make it increase.”
“Then the LORD your God will make you most prosperous in all the work of your hands and in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your land. The LORD will again delight in you and make you prosperous, just as he delighted in your ancestors”, – Deuteronomy 30:9 (NIV)
“so that neither is he who is planting anything, nor he who is watering, but He who is giving growth — God;” – 1 Corinthians 3:7 – (Youngs Literal Translation)
God loves you and wants to bless you – in your daily work
Yeah, God loves you and wants the best for you in everything, but He won’t drop things into your lap
while you sit on the couch watching another mindless program on television, drinking beer and complaining about your “day job.” Take what God has given you and work toward the prosperity he has desired for you.
Psalm 1:2-3 (KJV)
2 “But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”
Do you see the birds out every day? If they were in their nests waiting for God to stir up the wind and pull worms out of the ground and drop them into their nests, we’d have a lot of dead birds around.
In the same way, if you and I are to prosper, we need to “push forward.” The word, prosper, in the original Hebrew means to push forward. Press on toward the prize, my friends.
“Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan ‘Press On’ has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race”- Calvin Coolidge (quoted from this source)
